EDU.IN is a non-profit association whose mission is to promote Integral Education of people of all conditions and ages in a perspective of human development, in all dimensions, individual and social.
EDU.IN conceives Integral Education as a holistic and permanent process, for the integral development of the individual; and considers it a collective responsibility that involves people, schools and communities.
EDU.IN researches and creates ways and methods to promote Integral Education through the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, cultural and spiritual dimensions, and their multiple connections.
EDU.IN pursues its activities respecting human rights and the global ecosystem, equitable citizenship, intercultural dialogue and full democracy.
EDU.IN was founded in April 2022 by professionals with different backgrounds, all of them, in one way or another, linked to Education (educators, teachers, lecturers, trainers, researchers).
EDU.IN is a member of the Lisbon Community Led-Base Local Development Network , that brings together around 200 private civil entities and some public ones, such as the Municipality of Lisbon. This network has a local development strategy that covers 67 areas of priority social intervention with around 144.000 inhabitants, which constitutes a ground with great potential for the application of action research.
EDU.IN's headquarters are located in one of these territories, Bairro Padre Cruz, the largest social neighborhood in the Iberian Peninsula with around 20.000 inhabitants, which allows to have a vision and a daily experience of the complex challenges of local development.
EDU.IN is also a member of the Lisbon City of Learning Network and, consequently, of the International Network of Learning Cities.
